Every summer our family takes a trip – all 8 of us. We pack ourselves up into the minivan and drive somewhere. Usually we are camping and hiking, because that’s what we love to do. Plus we enjoy the chance to unplug from daily life for a short while.

This summer was no exception. We took a trip to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We visited two state parks: Amnicon Falls State Park and Pattison State Park. We saw lots of beautiful waterfalls, we hiked a TON, and we camped under the beautiful summer night sky. The weather was fantastic! Not too hot, and luckily it only rained once.

Every summer, I bring along my film camera to document it all. I like leaving my digital camera behind so I don’t have to worry so much about keeping my expensive gear safe. The camera I bring, a Canon AE-1Program, is relatively inexpensive if I would need to replace it, and it’s compact so it doesn’t take up much space in my backpack.

Here are a few images of our trip up north, on various film stocks. We had a great time!
