I don’t know where the expressions “Daddy’s Girl” and “Mama’s Boy” comes from, but I know without a doubt that there’s some truth behind them. Dads have a special kind of bond with their daughters, as do moms with their sons.
This mom was no exception. Her son was born with some health concerns, and she knew that breastfeeding would be the very best start in life she could give him. And now, 2 years later, those health concerns are not quite resolved but giving her son breastmilk has helped their journey in immeasurable ways. Beyond simply being an amazing source of nutrition and antibodies, the bond they share when breastfeeding gives her son the closeness and security he needs.
