My son, John, plays soccer for Portage Youth Soccer. PYS is part of the MAYSA system (Madison Area Youth Soccer Association) so we spend lots of weekends traveling between Portage and Madison, watching games and driving to practices. John has played fall soccer for 2 years and this year he also joined spring soccer. My husband even coached their team during the winter months in a casual indoor soccer league. John is so naturally talented at soccer and it’s lots of fun to watch him play. I never played many sports when I was younger, but watching John makes me wish I had!
I shot these images on Kodak Ultramax 400 film, with my Canon EOS10s camera. I love using my film camera because the colors have a special quality to them and the quality is fantastic! Even with this consumer film, even though it was expired by 10 years, it still performed beautifully. I am a part of a group of film shooters, sharing our work each month and encouraging each other to not let the art of film photography fade away.
